Common use
Finasteride is an oral medication used primarily to treat male pattern hair loss in adult men. It works by decreasing the amount of the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the scalp, which is responsible for shrinking hair follicles. By reducing DHT levels, Finasteride helps to reverse the balding process and promote hair regrowth. It is also used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and, in some cases, prostate cancer. Clinical studies have shown that Propecia, a brand name of Finasteride, is effective on both the crown and hairline areas of the scalp.
Dosage and direction
Take Finasteride exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The medication should be taken by mouth with a glass of water, with or without food. Do not cut, crush, or chew the tablet. The dosage and duration of use should be determined by your healthcare provider based on your condition and response to treatment.
Precautions
Before starting treatment with Finasteride, inform your doctor if you are allergic to Finasteride or Dutasteride, or if you have any other allergies. Because the active ingredient can be absorbed through the skin, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid handling crushed or broken tablets due to the potential risk to a male fetus. This medication is intended for use by adult men only.
Contraindications
Finasteride should not be used by women or children. It is contraindicated in individuals who have shown hypersensitivity reactions to Finasteride or any of its components.
Possible side effects
Common side effects may include dizziness, unusual tiredness, drowsiness, difficulty sleeping, blurred vision, runny nose, and issues with ejaculation. Though rare, serious side effects can occur. Discontinue use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience a painful erection lasting more than four hours, severe dizziness, or fainting. Severe allergic reactions are rare, but any unexpected symptoms should be reported to your doctor or pharmacist.
Drug interaction
Before starting Finasteride, inform your healthcare provider about all prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and herbal supplements you are taking. Although no major interactions are commonly associated, it is important to provide a complete medication history to avoid potential adverse effects.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose of Finasteride, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double up to make up for a missed dose.
Overdose
In the event of an overdose, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of overdose may include chest pain, nausea, irregular heartbeat, and a feeling of faintness or light-headedness.
Storage
Store Finasteride at room temperature, between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Keep the medication away from moisture, heat, and direct light. Do not store in the bathroom. Ensure the medication is kept out of reach of children and pets.

I wouldn’t exceed the recommended dosage of Propecia. Although I ordered 5 mg pills from the site, I carefully split each pill into 1 mg pieces. I believe it’s better to do this than risk any side effects. The pills are truly fantastic—they helped my hair grow back!

Propecia is truly fantastic! I read about it on the site and ordered a 6-month supply at once because the instructions say you shouldn’t stop taking it until you see results. Now, in the 5th month of using the pills, MY HAIR IS GROWING AGAIN. It’s really amazing!

Propecia has almost no side effects, so there’s nothing to worry about. I’ve been taking Propecia 1 mg for 3 months now. I know you can also buy Propecia 5 mg pills, but each one needs to be split into five pieces. It’s cheaper that way, but in my opinion, less convenient.
